The 2011 SAISA Great Oaks qualifier was hosted by the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg, on October 1. Congratulations to Tampa Jesuit on the win, followed closely by Shorecrest. Ransom Everglades, Lincoln Park, Sarasota Military, and St Croix Country Day were 3rd through 6th, with the top 6 teams qualifying for the Great Oaks Regatta in New Orleans.
Clearwater Yacht Club hosted the SAISA Single-handed District Championship & Qualifier for the ISSA National Single-handed Championship for the Cressy Trophy. David Billing, Regatta Chairman, organized the event which launched at the great facilities of the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, and raced in the Gulf of Mexico off Clearwater Beach. John Ardolino was the PRO and Ann Newton the Chief Judge.
